Patch notes for the 25.01-10.60.00 system firmware upgrade (January 23, 2025) for the PS5.
After the last PS5 System Software Update on 20 September, Sony has released the System Software Update 25.01-10.60.00, 1.32 GB in size, for the PlayStation 5. The patch notes detail a few small repairs and improvements, but as always, we’ll let you know if players find any surprises. Meanwhile, have a look at the patch notes below.
Here are all the patch notes for the update:
- The performance and stability of the system software have been enhanced.
- Some displays now have better messages and are simpler to use.
The PlayStation 30th anniversary startup theme and UI styles will remain in place for the time being, although Sony has not said when they will be removed. Just so you know, they usually are deleted (just as they were installed) via a system feature update, not a system software patch.
Although we fail to see a justification for Sony to remove the PlayStation 30th anniversary theme, we would not be shocked if the features were removed without fanfare since players have been pleading with the firm to provide them with this capability.
At the moment, this is the only information we have for update 25.01-10.60.00. Beyond what we have already published, we will ensure that you’re kept informed if there is any more information on the update.
