Reports have suggested the PlayStation 5 Pro is on the horizon.
Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro is on the horizon, according to the industry’s analysts being believed to be released sometime in the latter half of this year. Four years after its release, the PlayStation 5’s anticipated Pro Version may finally have become a reality for many fans of the consoles who have been eagerly waiting for its release.
During the PS5’s first launch at the end of 2020, the chip shortage that occurred during the time caused a scarcity in the supplies for the highly anticipated console, causing many fans frustrations. For many, the thought of owning a PlayStation 5 seemed all but a wishful dream as coming by one was almost impossible, but finally, the PlayStation 5 shortage came to an end in 2023, a surprisingly grueling three years after its initial launch.
Since then, many gamers have been fortunate enough to enjoy the console, but not long after, rumors of the PlayStation 5 Pro quickly began to spring up. Sharp-eyed fans had been keeping a vigilant eye on Sony patents and reports from industry insiders, and the newest reports claiming that the PS5 Pro is closer to being released than many may have expected.
Serkan Toto, Kantan Games CEO, recently went on to state that a late 2024 launch for the PS5 Pro is a likely possibility. After Sony’s reports suggesting that the PS5 is entering the end of its life cycle, the next natural step is for the PlayStation 5 Pro to step in and take its spot. Even though fans may feel the PS5 has only been around for a short period of time, Toto believes the next phase of the console might very well be on its way.
Although there is no official announcement from Sony as of yet, the leaks about the PlayStation 5’s hardware, along with the internet speculation, fans wait in excited anticipation for the Pro version’s release.
