The PlayStation 1-inspired 30th-anniversary collection is a trip down memory lane.
Sony unveiled some incredibly gorgeous 30th-anniversary merchandise on the same day the PlayStation 5 Pro pre-orders went live. A PlayStation 5 Pro bundle is available, and it has the console in colors reminiscent of the original PlayStation.
Only 12,300 units are available globally, making it a collector’s item with its 30th anniversary, a significant milestone in PlayStation’s history. The limited number also pays homage to the PlayStation 1’s release date, which was on December 3, 1994. Unfortunately, getting your hands on one will be next to impossible since scalper traders are likely already planning to purchase them in large quantities.
The PS1-inspired 30th-anniversary collection is a trip down memory lane. It includes a DualSense Edge, standard DualSense, controller charging station, and USB-C connector reminiscent of the PS1’s controller wires. This bundle is not just about the future of gaming but also a celebration of the rich history of PlayStation.
While Sony has included only the PS5 Pro bundle, the standard PS5 also comes with a digital bundle. The PS5 Pro bundle includes [specific items], while the standard PS5 digital bundle includes [specific items]. While we don’t yet have pricing information, I wouldn’t be surprised if the PlayStation 5 Pro combo cost around $1500. I know, I know, that’s insane.
Pre-orders for this will begin on September 26 through the PlayStation Direct store (or other merchants in countries without Direct) if you don’t have PlayStation Direct. The PS5 Pro will be available two weeks after purchasing that package, on November 21, when these 30th-anniversary goods are released.
