Forging strong bonds will be necessary. With each friendship affecting one’s prowess in battle, maintaining relationships with party members is paramount. But is the stress of impending doom too much to allow for focus on such things?
For those who want an intense experience out the gate, the title offers Hardcore Mode. And for anyone who simply wants a relaxing journey through the story, there is Story Mode. With over 30 hours of gameplay/story, a player is sure to stay busy for quite some time. Be sure that the decisions you make along the way are ones you can live with, for they may affect how some party members see you. Additionally, a would-be warrior will also have to manage their time analyzing tactical maps.
Prepare each character for battle as you customize their respective skill trees. But also keep a mindful eye on everyone’s hunger and affection levels. Path Of The Midnight Sun will punish the player accordingly, based on their decisions.
