Solve riddles in the PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo inspired by true Japanese urban legends, but Beware the Curse!
Square Enix has revealed their upcoming 2D visual novel PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo. The game will be released on PC and Nintendo Switch in March 2023. Square Enix has showcased the official trailer for the game with this update.
PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is a multi-layered collection of scary ghost tales set during the Showa Period (1926-89) in Tokyo’s Sumida City, Honjo, and revolving around several characters who have the “power of curses.” You’ll get to explore the secrets of Honjo through the perspective of a few different cursed individuals.
While the sun is up, you will investigate the city’s shadowy corners in search of answers to the seven terrible curses that plague it. You’ll either pursue other curse carriers or be hunted themselves as darkness falls. You’ll also need to learn to harness your abilities while avoiding being harmed by other players in this supernatural showdown.
You should also be prepared to journey through the ghostly underbelly of Honjo and be enveloped in certain regions of the game via ambient and panoramic views of Sumida City. All of these images were captured from real-life landscapes using a 360-degree camera, and the Sumida City Tourism Division, the local museum, the tourism organization, and the local community all provided their full cooperation and support.
The digital release of PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo for PC through Steam and Nintendo Switch is scheduled for March 8, 2023, and March 9, 2023, respectively. Pre-order on Steam is currently available and for Nintendo Switch begin on February 20, 2023.
