Blizzard teases Overwatch 2’s next mythic skin in the coming Season 10.
Being a part of Overwatch 2’s newest teaser for season 10, Blizzard has hinted at what seems to be a potential Mythic Mercy skin that may be coming to the game soon. This potential mythic rank skin would be the game’s tenth-of-its-kind to be added to the game.
Overwatch 2‘s Mythic skins represent the rarest tiers, sitting only one rank above legendary, these cosmetic makeovers give users multiple options for customizations which are sometimes unlocked as players progress through the battle pass or unlocked all at once in the pass’ final tier. So far, Blizzard has been releasing one new Mythic skin with each battle pass in the past and current passes and the developers seem to have partially revealed the coming Mythic skin in season 10’s battle pass which releases on April 16.
The official Overwatch Twitter had posted a short 16 seconds teaser that mostly focused on Season 10’s new hero named Venture; however, the teaser’s last five seconds revealed a new skin mostly shrouded in darkness. The mysterious hero reads a voice line stating “No mercy,” leading many fans of the game to speculate that Blizzard is clearly teasing a Mythic Mercy skin in the coming Season 10 as it is the most valuable cosmetic item, with this line reading with a more evil sounding tone than the light-hearted Mercy’s usual voice interaction.
However, while the line reads with a much darker tone than the normal Mercy, it seems to be the same voice actor. The new skin sports a skull-like mask with glowing red eyes, giving the support hero an uncharacteristically intimidating demeanor and appearance. If in fact this is Blizzard’s way of teasing the new skin, which is likely, it will be available as a part of Season 10’s premium battle pass.
In the end, with an awesome trailer and a potential new skin, fans have much to look forward to in the coming season of Overwatch 2 and the enjoyment of game overall.
