The game has now sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
Take-Two revealed some intriguing stats regarding games from its different labels, including Private Division, the publisher behind Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds, as part of its earnings announcement for the first quarter of FY22. In the months since our previous report, The Outer Worlds has continued to sell successfully.
Even nearly two years after its first release, The Outer Worlds continues to sell phenomenally well. The Obsidian developer game has sold over 4 million copies, according to Take-last Two’s earnings conference. According to industry analyst Dom, 1 million copies (or a fourth of lifetime sales) were sold in the past quarter. The Outer Worlds is without a doubt Private Division’s most popular game. Kerbal Space Program 2, Roll7’s OlliOlli World, and Moon Developers’ upcoming project are among the projects on which the label is collaborating with independent studios. That’s up 1 million from the previous quarter, according to industry analyst Dom on Twitter.
The Outer Worlds 2 is in the works, and it was just announced with a short CG teaser at E3 2021.
