Geoff Keighley will host the gaming event’s opening ceremony, which will be webcast live on August 25 at 11 a.m. PT / 7 p.m. BST / 8 p.m. CEST.
Microsoft has confirmed its attendance at Gamescom 2021, making it one of the first big game developers and publishers to do so. Parris Lilly and Kate Yeager will host Microsoft’s Xbox Stream a day early on August 24 at 10 a.m. PT / 6 p.m. BST / 7 p.m. CEST. Consider the performance as a warm-up for what’s to come the next day. Microsoft stated that no new titles would be showcased at the event, allowing us to set our expectations appropriately and prevent disappointment.
However, we’ll receive in-depth updates on some of Microsoft’s previously disclosed Xbox Game Studios projects, as well as some of the company’s third-party partners, including some titles coming to Xbox this Christmas season, forthcoming Xbox Game Pass releases, and much more. YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Gaming, and Twitter are all places where you may watch the program. The fact that the stream will accommodate no fewer than 30 languages, including Microsoft’s English Audio Descriptions and American Sign Language, is also significant. Last but not least, Microsoft revealed that it would hold a digital Xbox sale for its European customers during Gamescom 2021. Gamers will be able to save up to 75% on a variety of famous Xbox and PC titles. More information regarding the promotion will be released closer to the concert, so stay tuned for updates.
On a related note, Microsoft has announced that Bethesda Germany will have its own Livestream program beginning August 26. Those interested may check in to the developer’s official Twitch account to watch.
