A notorious Persona leaker has given an update of the Persona Spin-off game.
There has been a new continuous stream of rumors surrounding the next step in the Persona franchise. Thanks to new information from a well-known leaker, we might finally have some news on the rumored Persona spinoff game. The leaker ‘MbKKssTBhz5’, also known as Midori, has previously shared plenty of information on other Atlus projects that have proven to be accurate in the past. We know that the codenamed game is under the codename “Asa”
If what was said by Midori is correct, then Project Asa will likely be a massive crossover game featuring all the past franchise characters as a celebration of the franchise and its history. The characters that would be included in the game would be every main character introduced to the series from Persona 1 to 5. The leaker also said as for the genre of the game, Midori noted that it was “hard to describe” and said that the closest thing to compare the game to was a Mario Party styled game. Most interestingly, Midori has given us the game’s official name.
The official name for Project Asa will supposedly be called Persona Grand Stage and will be developed for mobile platforms, as well as for PC. As for the Mario Party Styled nature of the game, it will be similar to what we’ve seen in the League of Legends spin-off game, Team fight Tactics. If this is true, then the game will likely be an ‘autobattler’ where players will have to fight against each other by building balanced and strong teams.
Persona Grand Stage or Project Asa being an autobattler would make sense, as this type of game does line up with many of Midori’s previous leaks, especially about a Persona title that will feature all the main characters from past games. Midori did also state that the game has completed development thanks to external support. Despite this, it is unclear when the game is going to be released. Currently as to why the game has yet to be released is mainly due to the upcoming Persona 5: The Phantom X mobile game spinoff, which is a part of Atlus’s attempt to expand the series.
