Sony urges users to install the latest system software update 24.06-10.01.00 for the PlayStation 5.
Square Enix issued a statement in response to the widespread reports of graphic glitches and difficulties affecting several games, with Final Fantasy 16 being a notable exception. Several PlayStation 5 games have also reported performance and stability issues.
There have also been reports of PlayStation 5 Slim owners experiencing issues with their removable disc drives following console updates. Gamers were experiencing concerns beyond visual defects in games after the last patch.
So, Sony released the latest system software update for the PlayStation 5, 24.06-10.01.00, which is 1.193GB in file size, to fix the problems introduced with the previous major upgrade, which went live on September 12. The stability update has solved those issues, and Sony urges all users to install it.
If you didn’t get the system software update notification, you can still get the update by going into your PS5’s settings and looking for system feature updates; some users have reported success with this method.
