The long-awaited DLC The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has been officially announced via this year’s Pokémon Presents Direct.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘s DLC ‘The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero’ has finally been announced, much to the joy of Pokémon fans around the world. During the Pokémon Presents Direct, we also got to see some of the new legendaries coming to the game as well as other Pokémon news.
Starting on 27 February 2023, players will be able to participate in new legendary Tera raids. During these raids players will encounter the new paradox Pokémon, Walking Wake in Pokemon Scarlet, a Water/Dragon-type, Paradox form of Suicune, and Iron Leaves in Pokemon Violet, a Grass/Psychic-type Paradox form of Virizion. Many have speculated these would be coming in the DLC, but instead, we will be getting them through Tera raids.
The new DLC ‘The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero’ will be split into two parts. The first part will be called Teal Mask, which is currently set to be released in the fall of 2023. The first half of the DLC will introduce a brand new legendary to the game, Ogrepon. Players will also become transfer students at Blueberry academy, a school similar to the one you attend in the base game.
The second half of ‘The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero’ will be known as The Indigo Disk. This second have will introduce another new legendary, Terapagos, a new world turtle-like Pokémon. Individuals that pre-purchase the DLC, will be given a special code that will allow them to receive a special Hisuian Zoroark.
It seems like this time around Gamefreak will be delivering much more this time around in terms of DLC than they did for Pokémon Sword and Shield. While fans still have some questions, they will likely be answered in the coming weeks as we learn new information about ‘The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero’ DLC.
