Mortal Kombat 1 continues to raise eyebrows amongst the players, and now on top of that, there is a new bug to deal with.
Nowadays, Mortal Kombat 1’s relevancy happens due to problems that it causes, not because the game is being well-received. Before the game was distributed to everyone, early access players had rough feedback on its playability and bugs that ultimately turned the game into a mess of an experience. While console players mostly complain about bugs that occur from time to time, Nintendo Switch players, on the other hand, had the worst possible outcome.
NetherRealm, despite being late, admitted that they did not properly check the title before releasing it and promised updates in the future for every possible version of Mortal Kombat 1. This included changing the graphics on Nintendo Switch and bugs that render Mortal Kombat 1 completely unplayable during a match, such as characters being stuck or glitching out of the ring.
Two weeks after the release, players are now noticing an apparent bug that heavily alters its gameplay and is unfair to second players in a match. This bug affects both single and multiplayer too, which is quite a shocker. The bug is the bias towards the Player 1 character or the player who joined the game first in terms of multiplayer.
To further detail the active bug, it allows player 1 to execute combos without a problem while when tried on player 2 side, the combo does not happen to work at all. This issue is persistent in all versions and ports of Mortal Kombat 1 and it was registered as a list of bugs to be fixed in the official website of the game. Said bug could be simply related to giving an advantage to the first one to create the match or the room due to inputs having the need to go through the player 1 first.
As we said earlier, this bug affects multiplayer too, so it is highly suggested that you should avoid multiplayer for a while until a patch that fixes the bug is dropped. It is not certain when but since it is officially added to the fixes in the future, it should be available soon.
