We are only a month away from the Mortal Kombat 1 beta. Here are some details you must know about beforehand.
We are only a couple of months away until we all can get our hands on one of the biggest fighting games of the year, Mortal Kombat 1. This is crazy, because just a couple of months ago, the game was announced. Then if you recall, a month later, there was a stress test that ran from June 23-26, 2023. This test enabled players to play online, but the catch was that the availability was very limited, and you had to be lucky to be selected by an email to join had you applied.
Also, the stress test was accessible to only a few regions, including Europe. Futhermore, the test was only to identify any potential problems before release. But now, things are a lot different now, and everyone can get the chance to play Mortal Kombat 1 early; well, almost everyone. Here’s the deal, next month, we are getting the game coming in a form of a beta. Mortal Kombat 1’s official Twitter just announced this and will be available from August 18-21, 2023.
But wait, there’s more; You are given six fighters to choose from, as well as four Kameos, and only two stages to battle.
Fighters:
- Kenshi
- Sub-Zero
- Liu-Kang
- Kitana
- Johnny Cage
- Li Mei
Kameos:
- Sonya
- Kano
- Frost
- Jax
Stages:
- Johnny Cage’s mansion
- The Teahouse
But just like the stress test, there’s a catch. As of now, there is still no news on whether the beta becomes open at any point, but for now you’ll have to pre-order Mortal Kombat 1 from methods that include the game’s official website or your platform’s respective store to be able to be granted access. Actually, this is only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners as this beta is for you guys. Sorry PC players, but you’ll have to wait a little longer to be able to play the hugely anticipated fighting game.
