Its time for the first DLC expansion to arrive though it’s only been a month since Minecraft Dungeons is available. With this first expansion, we are heading to the jungle. Which is named Minecraft Dungeons: Jungle Awakens. Players don’t have to wait very long to play it as this expansion is out next week. Courtesy of its first DLC expansion Jungle Awakens, Developer Mojang’s Diablo-like Minecraft soin-off Minecraft Dungeons will be released next week.
Shortly after Minecraft Dungeons was released, Jungle Awakens was revealed. Mojang didn’t have a release date to announce at the time of that announcement. With the company announcing a release date of July 1st, it changed today. Jungle Awakens packs players off the distant jungle as its name suggests. It’s ideal for those Indiana Jones types because they can explore the new Lost Temple dungeon. The story is across three new story missions. There are new mobs and pandas to encounter along the way which include Jungle Zombie, Whisperer, and Leapleaf.
New weapons artifacts and armor is also included. Jungle Awakens is included as part of Minecraft Dungeons’ Hero pass which costs around £8. It also provides access to the Creeping Winter DLC which will be out later this year. The pass is included for you if you already purchased the Hero addition of Minecraft Dungeon. The Jungle Awakens is a strong extension to the franchise and is by far the most promising Minecraft spin-off released to date.
Aside from Jungle Awakens, the hero pass gives access to Minecraft Dungeons’ second expansion, Creeping Winter which hasn’t really been dated or detailed yet. It also includes a chicken pet, a Hero cape, and two skins. In May, Mojang announced the DLC but has now pinned a precise release date for its arrival. The spin-off is set to launch on PS4, PC, and Xbox One next Wednesday, July 1st.
