This new, massive update coming to Minecraft contains new mobs, biomes and even a long delayed archaeology system that players have been patiently awaiting.
Minecraft is still garnering support after all of these years. Every update adding new and exciting developments to a game that released in 2011, but this newest update may be the most earthshattering yet. Mojang have been slowly revealing tidbits of information regarding the next update, including the fact that the long awaited ‘archaeology’ system is finally coming.
However, in addition to this, the studio have also revealed the new cherry blossom biome as well as the brand new Sniffer mob. The new biome is rare and as stated on Mojang’s official blog: “PINK”. The cherry blossom biome contains cherry blossom trees which will add a splash of bright colour to the overworld.
The blog also states that certain mobs like: Pigs, Sheep and Bees will all make their home in the stunning biome. As with other trees in Minecraft players will also be able to craft the logs into planks and make prestigious pink mansions decorated with new objects such as the hanging sign. In addition to this, these trees also drop saplings (as do all in Minecraft) which will allow you to make a cherry blossom forest of your very own.
Moreover, players may recall the Sniffer as it came out on top of a Minecraft live mob vote which had the Sniffer compete against the Rascal and the Tuff Golem. The Sniffer mob (as stated in the Mojang Blog) is once extinct creature that you can help bring back. Upon finding the rare Sniffer eggs that would be found amidst suspicious sand, players can take them and hatch them.
This new, huge mob is said to be a “Bit of a Botanist” and will help players locate unique seeds for the unique decorative plants that will also be added in the coming update. This update is promising to be massive. With the newly voted mob, the addition of the Camel mob, a new biome and this highly anticipated Archaeology system, Minecraft players should be very excited for this coming update.
The update currently has no official release date, aside from the incredibly vague ‘2023’.
