MGS Delta Snake Eater and the Silent Hill 2 remake are rumored to release in 2024.
In a blog post by PlayStation, we saw a lineup of games set to come to PS5 this year which includes a highly-anticipated remake by KONAMI. However, there has been no official announcement from KONAMI on the launch date in regards to the Silent Hill 2 remake and MGS Delta: Snake Eater.
Silent Hill 2 remake is about a family that is plummeted into chaos as a sudden death shakes their decimated rust-belt town in Pennsylvania which was released back on October 31, 2023, and sticking to its genre of survival horror. Silent Hill 2’s remake was first announced back in October 2022 and since then, there have been next to no details have been provided on the project’s process or its release window, however, Silent Hill 2 did show new concept art later on.
Previously commented on the prolonged period of no communication, the Bloober Team stated that “KONAMI is the publisher of the game and communication is definitely part of their job.” Sadly, Silent Hill: Ascension was not very well received, with both critics and players disappointed with the overall results of the game.
However, on the other side of things, in regards to KONAMI, they have had a steady stream of new information for MGS Delta: Snake Eater or known by its full name as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, since it’s announcement back in May 2023.
Overall, with no announcements or any hints, fans are left guessing about progress for both games’ progression and release dates. With any sort of speculation, it’s wise to take things with a pinch of salt but if this rumor is to be believed, fans of Silent Hill have much to look forward to and with the hopes of the new games surpassing fans expectations.
