The title comes from the minds of Zerouno Games. Guaranteed to give you an adrenaline rush, the game is a rock-themed top-down roguelite. Wield rock music as the ultimate weapon to defeat any foes that stand in your way. But will your music be enough to repel the ancient evil that threatens the world?
Kuk, an ancient evil God, has been unleashing hell everywhere. He has overtaken the guitar gods and has been turning their metalhead followers into mindless zombies. Wield 50+ items to take the fight to the evil deity. Combine guitars, strings, pedals, and amps to unleash heavy metal fury on the horde trying to stop you. The game also has a variety of 15 enemies and 8 different guitar bosses to take on. And if the horde’s power is too strong, bring in a friend for a co-op jam session.
With a mission system, players won’t just mindlessly fight a horde. Through completed missions, they can acquire new items and other ways to boost a character’s stats. And with each level procedurally generated, you’ll always see something new.
Metal Tales: Overkill is now available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
