The trailer portrays various aspects of Life By You including the hundreds of ways that you can customise and tailor your own experience.
After the Paradox Interactive event from a few weeks ago, they stated that Rod Humbles next title would be a life simulator similar to The Sims. Life By You, seems ambitious with the focus appearing to be on freedom and player control. Check out the official trailer for the new title below:
In addition to this trailer was a full live-stream containing more details about the game. Game Director Rod Humble and Community Manager Rocio explained various aspects of the game mostly emphasising control. Humble stated that the game would not have any loading screens as there are “no loading screens in life” and mentioned that even if your household is across great distances you can still control them.
He also mentioned that there are many transportation options with even the option of direct control, something that has not been seen in the life sim space. In addition to this is the full direct conversation tools that you can customise yourself. This is also not mentioning the various other designers and editors that this game contains, it really seems to be all about freedom.
Many have discussed how this game may be a Sims competitor, similar to how Cities: Skylines was seen as a competitor to SimCity. Life By You is coming to early access September 12th and it can be wishlisted on Steam right now.
