Naughty Dog has revealed that Last of Us 2 Remaster would have a Guitar Free Play Mode.
When the remaster of Naughty Dog was announced, it came as a pleasant surprise to almost every gamer. While we have learnt quite a bit about Last of Us 2 Remaster, one of the more interesting parts of the game is that it will feature a Guitar Free Play Mode. Players will have a chance to play as the game’s composer, Gustavo Santaolalla. For those of you who are interested in purchasing the game, it will be available on 19 January 2024. The remaster will feature improved graphics as well quite a few interesting new game modes.
Out of all the new exciting game modes coming to the Last of Us 2 Remaster, probably one of the most exciting is the headlining roguelike, No Return Mode, which is similar to the roguelike we saw in God of War Ragnarök’s DLC God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla. This new mode will include multiple characters from both games including the fan favorite Joe Miller. While this new mode is what Naughty Dog is pushing the hardest, it’s not what fans are interested in – that would be the Guitar Free Play Mode.
We first learned of these new game modes via a Tweet made by the official Naughty Dog Twitter account which shared information about the game modes included in Last of Us 2 Remaster, including the Guitar Free Play Mode. This new mode would allow players to play an array of instruments, including a guitar and banjo. Players will also have a chance to play as the games’ composer, Gustavo Santaolalla, instead of Ellie if they would like. This is a great option for fans of the composer’s work or for those who want something a bit more different.
Though the game modes are exciting, they aren’t the only changes being made in Last of Us 2 Remaster. Naughty Dog also revealed in another tweet that players who have played the original version of the game will also instantly unlock all previous trophies they earned. Players will also have a chance to earn new trophies exclusive to No Return Mode.
