Larian Studios, the developer behind the critically acclaimed Baldur’s Gate 3 have announced that a save bug fix for Xbox users is on its way.
There is nothing more frustrating than saving your game after a difficult quest or mission only to boot it up and find that your game didn’t save the spicy romance scene that happened right after. This issue has been affecting many Baldur’s Gate 3 players playing on the Xbox consoles. Luckily, the studio behind the phenomenal RPG, Larian Studios, has said that a fix was on its way soon. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a one-of-a-kind game that gave us quite a few surprises, one of the biggest being an Xbox release, this was meant to be made during the Game Awards but sadly, the Devs had no time as the hosts wanted to hurry things along.
Despite not receiving a grand announcement, there was still plenty of excitement when it was revealed that fans would finally be getting the game on Xbox. Sadly, this did take a while as both Larian and Microsoft had to work together in order to get the split screen feature working on the Xbox Series S to ensure that both Xbox releases were identical.
Sadly, while the split screen feature is available in the game, there is another big issue in the game, and that is a save deletion bug. Luckily, both Larian and Microsoft have continued to resolve the issue and we got confirmation that a fix was on its way, including both temporary workarounds and firmware updates from the console itself.
We first learned of the fix heading over to consoles, thanks to a tweet posted by the official Larian Studios Twitter account which says the issue causing the bug has been identified by Microsoft and that they are actively working on a fix for the issue. Hopefully, with the issue soon to be resolved players can once again continue their quest to save Faerune, or you know… snuggle a bear
