We have all the answers you need to know ahead of the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 1 beta.
As time goes by, it’s incredible that we are only three days away from the Mortal Kombat 1 closed beta being ready for all of us to enjoy for a few days. It must’ve been quite painful having to see a very limited number of players having fun with the playtest that arrived a couple of months ago.
But if you were one of the lucky ones that did get to play the test, we’d hope that you didn’t rub it in other people’s faces. But seriously, we know you had fun and we’re glad that you did. And luckily for you guys, you get to enjoy some more Mortal Kombat 1 very soon.
Now, let’s cut the chit-chat and get to why you’re really here. You’re dying to know how and when to download Mortal Kombat 1 beta, and not to worry, we have all the information you’re looking for. But firstly, surely you understand that, in order to play the closed beta, you have to pre-order Mortal Kombat 1, whether it be digitally or physically. And if you haven’t done so, then you better do it now because that’s the only way you’ll be able to play.
You won’t believe it, but you can download the beta today. But the following times when you can install the beta are 11 am EDT / 10 am CDT / 8 am PDT / 5 pm GMT. However, as you also are aware, the beta will be live on August 18-21, so you’ll have to wait just a few more days. By the way, the beta begins at 11 am EDT / 8 am CDT / 5 pm GMT / 10 am CDT and will run through until August 21 at the same time as the beta began.
Now to download the beta, if you had pre-ordered it from PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S’s respective stores, then all you have to do is wait until the time comes for you to download. However, if you pre-ordered it elsewhere, then you’ll have to wait until the retailer, etc. provides you with the beta code. Then, you’ll have to redeem your code on the Warner Bros Games website. Make sure you sign in and if you don’t have an account with them yet, create one.
Before we continue, make sure to link your Xbox or PSN to the account. To do this, go to ‘connections’ and you’ll see the likes of PlayStation and Xbox options with the ‘connect’ tabs under them. Click the ‘connect’ tab, and sign into your platform’s account and you’re good to go. After doing so, copy the code, head over to the ‘playtests’ section and paste it in the bar and then click ‘redeem’. You’ll then get an option on which platform you wish to play the Mortal Kombat 1 beta with either Xbox Series X|S or the PlayStation 5.
Sadly, Switch and PC players will have to wait until Mortal Kombat 1’s release day to play. But we aren’t very far from it, so you should be fine in waiting a little longer. As for the fellow PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players, this is an awesome time for us, and we can’t wait to play the beta. But before you leave, in case you aren’t sure of the available characters, stages, modes and content overall that’ll be in the beta, here are all the need-to-know details surrounding the Mortal Kombat 1 beta.
