ESRB has given Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered a PC and PlayStation 5 rating.
Sony has responded about the PSN PC requirement for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and confirmed that a PlayStation Network membership is required to play the game on Steam. Unexpectedly, the ESRB has given Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered a PC and PlayStation 5 rating. Since Sony has sent the game to the ratings board, it’s almost ready for release.
Horizon Forbidden West, in comparison, took 55 days from rating to launch. Sony also has the LEGO game scheduled for the year’s finalization; the leaked release date is November 14th. While it’s true that releasing the Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered so soon after the LEGO game could be a problem, there’s also the possibility that the LEGO game will attract new players on PC and Switch, who could end up wanting to play the original Zero Dawn on PS5.
Yeah, Zero Dawn still looks great, and you can play the game on PS5 at 60 frames per second. However, the current load times on PlayStation 5 are lengthy, and Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn appears a bit old compared to Forbidden West. So, that is probably going to be upgraded.
Similar to what we saw in Horizon Forbidden West when features like no pickup were included, I do not doubt that Zero Dawn will also have such quality-of-life upgrades. Still, I’m wondering if the very sluggish dialogues will be updated. Similar to what we saw for Ghost of Tsushima’s Director’s Cut and The Last of Us Part 2, this upgrade will cost $10 if you own the game.
