Horizon Forbidden West has a new ‘play to plant’ scheme.
Guerrilla Games’ mega-project Horizon Forbidden West has finally been released to a menagerie of reviews and praise ranging from it’s technical marvel and more. However, one of the more spectacular things about the game is something that is working alongside the game.
Sony and PlayStation recently announced that whenever a player earns the trophy “Reached The Daunt” in Horizon Forbidden West, then Sony will plant a tree in association with the Arborday foundation. This is a phenomenal thing, and if you didn’t already have enough of an incentive to hop in and play Horizon Forbidden West on Friday then there’s more incentive.
They mentioned this in a tweet with further details:
Players have until March 25th for them to actually have an impact upon the project. As they say in the video above, you can save the forests from the comfort of your home. This Play and Plant scheme is a great idea and one that one can hope that this project works as well as everyone hopes.
The “Reached The Daunt” trophy is automatically unlocked whilst playing Horizon Forbidden West, so what are you waiting for? Get out there and plant a tree!
Horizon Forbidden West is out on Friday 18th February 2022! PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 fans can finally experience the game that is surrounded by so much hype.
