The upcoming PC port of Horizon Forbidden West will feature a far smoother visual experience.
There is no game quite as visually impressive as Horizon Forbidden West, the game is packed with vibrant colors, lush forests and biomechanical wildlife and it will soon be heading to PC. If you’re interested in snagging the game to appreciate the game’s visuals, then you will be glad to know that the port will be compatible with Nvidia DLSS 3 on release. This would make Guerrilla Games’ open-world game the latest in many high-profile games to utilize this technology.
Horizon Forbidden West was first released in 2022 as an exclusive for the PlayStation 5 and follows the next chapter of our red headed heroine, Aloy’s journey, This time through the titular Forbidden West. Aloy will encounter many new and dangerous mechanical wildlife as she tries the lost terraforming AI, Gaia. It’s safe to say Horizon Forbidden West was a huge success upon release and the game continued this success when its DLC launched in early 2023.
Much like the first Horizon game, Horizon Forbidden West will be ported to PC and will be continuing the trend of Sony porting many of their high-profile exclusives onto PC, such as God of War. Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is set to launch later this year and will launch with some interesting new technology. Nvidia recently confirmed in an IGN interview that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will include support for its proprietary Deep Learning Super Sampling 3 technology. Sadly, this will only be compatible on Nvidia RTX 40 series GPUs.
The game was already a graphical gem to behold but not with new DLSS 3 integration, players who love visuals will be in for a treat, that is if you can run the game. Hopefully, the next entry in the Horizon series will be just as if not more beautiful than the last.
