The Co-Creator of Rick and Morty’s game company Squanch Games is creating High on Life, a game where… Aliens are Guns?
It seems that we keep talking about the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase but at this point so many games were announced it’s hard to keep the hyped down. High on Life from Squanch Games was one of the biggest surprises to come out of the Showcase. High on Life is a first person shooter set on alien worlds and you also wield aliens as guns.
If that doesn’t sound wacky enough the main plot seems to surround the fact that the alien drug cartel are using humans for drugs. It is a very Rick and Morty esque premise and fans of the zany show will no doubt find a home here. In addition to this, the alien guns also talk, having very particular personalities from voice talents like Justin Roiland and JB Smoove.
Check out the trailer for the game below:
The trailer shows of quite a bit ranging from gunplay to environments and most notably the talking weapons. It’s clear that the weapons are a notable part of the experience and the dialogue for these weapons will without a doubt be hilarious. Knifey will no doubt be a fan favourite as he lusts for more “stabbing”.
High on Life releases October 2022 on Xbox and PC. It will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.
