Bethesda’s small but important release, Hi-Fi Rush, is rumored to be coming to Nintendo Switch.
2023 saw the emergence of lots of remakes and remasters, but one game that was based on old-style graphics was not something people were expecting. Developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda, cel-shaded graphics saw a reemerge and what makes the title more interesting is the attention it got despite its almost zero marketing. Before its release, Hi-Fi Rush never had any marketing at all nor people knew about its presence in the upcoming list. Once it arrived, it met with lots of positive reviews too, which makes it one of the unpredicted games of the year.
Due to Bethesda’s agreement with Microsoft, the current line of games released under Bethesda’s ownership come out for PC and Xbox platforms. This rule was also made apparent when Bethesda’s latest game, Starfield, was released for PC and Xbox Series X|S too. Bethesda, as their decision stands, does not want to publish games for other consoles, however, an insider leak mentioned that Hi-Fi Rush might be making over Nintendo Switch sometime soon.
The rumor comes from highly trusted insiders in the community. According to them, Bethesda is planning to get over to one of the rival platforms with a small step. This means that they won’t likely ship, or at least consider, bringing Starfield to PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch. But, a smaller game made by a smaller company with the help of Bethesda could be a reality. Tango Works’ title, Hi-Fi Rust completely fits Nintendo Switch’s user base, and it’s a good action, hack, slash, rhythm game that could be well fitted to Nintendo Switch, and fans believe so too.
Hi-Fi Rush’s Nintendo Switch ports are one of the rumors that could be the reality for 2024, sadly, it can’t be said for the next project of Bethesda: Elder Scrolls VI: Hammerfell. Todd Howard, CEO of Bethesda, has been teasing Hammerfell’s relevancy from time to time, and the last time we heard its mention was on Starfield’s showcase, which was just a confirmation that it was in the works. People believe that we won’t hear about the game for another year, but hey, this is Bethesda we are talking about.
