The good, the bad, and the undead meet in a brutal mix with many demons to kill in the Hard West 2.
It’s finally here! Good Shepherd Entertainment and Ice Code Games have unveiled Hard West 2, the highly anticipated release to last year’s successful turn-based strategy game set in the American Wild West. The Bravado State, a new addition to the game, allows players to take a more aggressive stance in battle.
Legendary Batman: The Animated Series voice actor Kevin Conroy, Darien Sills-Evans from Days Gone and League of Legends), and Adam Gifford from The Colony, Batman: Hush brings the story to life, as do composer Jason Graves from Dead Space, Tomb Raider, and renowned author Matt Forbeck and co-writerMatt Forbeck.
In the typical Western setting of Hard West 2, the rumors of a ghost train with a wealth of riches for the taking are woven into the story. The “ghost train” turns out to be precisely that when first-class con guy Gin Carter steals the conveyance! While leading a band of outlaws, Gin must battle both living and undead foes to capture the Devil.
In Hard West 2, players can activate Bravado State by racking up through a large number of kills, which also replenishes their Action Points. They need to find enigmatic playing cards and use them to create their crew’s poker hands to keep their teams in top six-shooter form. Then arm them with more powerful weapons and explosives, or just feed them a square meal of beans and booze.
Hard West 2’s turn-based combat takes place in altering landscapes. As the leader of a gang of criminals, players get to teleport witches and other odd creatures. Loyalty Points and new talents may be gained by making the correct decisions, but bad decisions might put your friends’ loyalty in jeopardy.
Players will have to conquer the Dark Frontier in a last-ditch effort to save their souls from perdition. They will learn more about their groups as they explore the region, from snow-covered landscapes to frontier communities that are striving to live in a brutal world.
The PC version of Hard West 2 is scheduled for release this year. On Steam, you can now add the game to your wishlist. Until April 7, you may join the Hard West 2 closed beta from their official website. Visit GamesCreed’s gaming news section for the latest updates on this turn-based strategy game by Ice Code Games.
