Halo 3 now has a release date. Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 are due out by the end of 2020.
Microsoft announced that Halo 3 will hit the PC via The Master Chief Collection on July 14. The game has been optimized for PC, with up to 4K UHD and 60fps support. You can also expect FOV customization ultrawide support, keyboard support, and a customizable mouse, among other PC-specific features.
The first-person shooter originally came out in 2007. Since then, it has received much critical acclaim for its multiplayer and replayability. Halo 3 quickly became the best-selling game of that year. On the multiplayer side, there are 24 maps, and the progression system from Halo: The Master Chief Collection is updated.
The excellent Halo 3 campaign has all 11 missions fans will remember from the 2007 Xbox 360 original. Forge and Theater are also included. Players won’t have to worry much. The game itself is set for a late 2020 release date. 343 Industries plans to show off Halo Infinite, the newest Halo installment, later this month during an Xbox Game Studios event on July 23
The other Halo games currently available to play on PC are Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved. Halo 2 will be joined by Halo 4 and Halo 3: ODST down the road, promising 343 industries.
Halo 3 will be part of The Master Chief Collection, available for free through the Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription service. All of these games require the purchase of The Master Chief Collection on PC and can’t be purchased individually. On July 14, the last installment of the original Halo trilogy will arrive on PC.
