Hades II technical test and Early Access is almost ready to launch.
On April 16th, Supergiant Games announced that an Early Access version of their new game Hades II is almost upon us. But first, they wish to release a technical test that you can sign up for.
The objective of this test is to root out and resolve any technical issues they might have oversighted. In doing so, players will be able to enjoy Early Access with a smooth experience from the beginning. It is confirmed that the test will feature much less content than Early Access and may also only be available for a small number of people.
Registration for the Hades II technical test is available now! If you wish to be considered for participation, you can simply visit the game’s Steam page and click on “Request Access”. Content creators may also request with a “keymailer”. However, it is possible that some keymailer requests can be rejected, due to the nature of the test.
If you are accepted for the test, you will receive an email from Steam that includes download instructions. To begin with, only a small number of people will be selected, but overtime more people will also be allowed to join. So don’t worry if you aren’t selected at first!
The idea of the Hades II test is to invite players, fix any issues they come across, invite more players, and so on until they feel the game is running smoothly. The developers are unsure as to how long the test will last, but their estimate is “longer than a week, shorter than a month”. With this, it is still unknown as to when Hades II Early Access will begin. But you can be certain that the game will be available for everyone to purchase and play when Early Access begins.
It is also worth noting that the test will only include the first major area of the game, with some other early game characters, systems and content, while Early Access will offer a little bit more. Additionally, due to the structural differences, your saved data from the test will not carry over to Early Access.
