Originally known as Project H, the new Horizon Online Game is now being created under the codename Project Skyline.
NCSoft and Sony are apparently working on a Horizon Online MMO Game called Project H that will be part of the Horizon series. Job postings on Guerrilla Games’ website led us to further information on the Horizon Online project. The game’s development status has been officially revealed when an NCSoft employee used a codename logo styled like Horizon games’ logo in a LinkedIn job ad.
Guerrilla Games is going to alter the behavior, which means that the maneuvers and assaults for the famous Horizon machines will most likely be altered so that they are effective against numerous players. Defeating the robotic prehistoric beasts in what seems to be a squad of five is, obviously, the game’s major selling point.
Additionally, the game will contain brand-new machines. They will develop each machine using metrics, player input, and other data over time. So, maybe there will be huge post-launch adjustments to the machines that we haven’t encountered in the single-player games.
But that one time in Horizon: Zero Dawn, they cut down on the number of discs in the Thunderjaws Disc Launcher. There has to be interesting narrative material in the online game details that complement our interesting gameplay. Including interesting plot points outside of Aloy’s storyline and the promise of many tasks are two things that, in my opinion, will convince any fan of the Horizon series to give this game a chance, regardless of whether they are regular online gamers.
Additionally, the term “stylized” often appears in these job postings, and a vintage photo leaked online. It is my sincere wish that the folks at Guerrilla be well-informed. They considered adding cooperative play to the first game but decided against it because it would cut the amount of detail in half. This might be one reason they aren’t striving for the more realistic visuals shown in the single-player games.
So, it would never have the same stunning visuals as Horizon: Zero Dawn. Having five persons on a squad, plus other individuals who act like players in a social setting, may potentially be much more detrimental to them. They opted for a new visual design instead of making Horizon Forbidden West less attractive.
It remains to be seen whether it lives up to the high standards set by the LEGO Horizon game, which is still visually stunning. All I can say is that Horizon series fans are interested in seeing it during the PlayStation 5 Pro event, probably in September. Given that the game’s director has been involved with the project for over 6.5 years, it’s reasonable to assume as much.
