The machines’ silhouettes were harder to figure out, but Gran Turismo 7 players easily found out what they were.
Polyphony Digital has been very busy this summer. Let it be the championship finals and the Gran Turismo movie’s release, they barely had any time to improve their title. Seems like the major work is done and the studio is going back to its scheduled updates to bring quality-of-life changes and new additional content to Gran Turismo 7. In regular fashion, the news arrived with the director of Gran Turismo 7, Kazunori Yamauchi, sharing a post on Twitter.
His update posts usually include silhouettes of cars that are going to be featured in the update. While usually it is four or more, only three cars are going to be added this time around. But this could be easily tied to the whole studio being busy with the ongoing events during the summer. The cars that are going to be included are actually tough to spot as they seemed like any other hatchbacks with racing modifications added to them, however, the community was fast to find which cars were going to be added.
From top the bottom, they are Garage RCR Civic EG, Mazda3 Gr. 4 Race Car, and Honda Civic TypeR (FL5) ‘22. Compared to previous updates, the car list this time around is somewhat weak. Three hatchbacks, one of them is a custom modification from a garage, one of them is a Gr. 4 race car made by the GT team, and a regular road-going hatchback from last year.
The community on the other hand still expects certain brands, tracks, and new events to be added to the game. These include endurance races that last more than 2 hours, some missing brands like Lotus, Ford Australia, and Holden, and some very highly requested models such as Lexus LFA. But seems like Polyphony Digital has other things in the schedule, rather than bringing what regular players want into the game.
Gran Turismo 7’s September Update is set to be released next week without any certain day. Just a heads up, there won’t be only the cars included in this update, so we can expect to have small surprises that can change how Gran Turismo 7 plays in both single and multiplayer.
