Gran Turismo 7 will have its first update to feature more than four cars added this month.
Microsoft’s new installment of the Forza series might have slowed down the interest in the Gran Turismo 7. In the past months, Polyphony Digital could not give proper care to Gran Turismo 7 due to movie tie-in being their focus at the time. We could see that with the delayed updates and lack of new cars being added. On top of the small car list, PlayStation exclusive racing game did not get any updates for the racing mode or a new track either.
But it seems like the work is back at Polyphony Digital as they are bringing a lot of cars this month for the Gran Turismo 7. With the usual way of showcasing cars, the series creator Kazunori Yamauchi shared a Tweet with cars’ silhouettes. A few things were notable at first, such as the amount of cars added this time around. Most of the updates have three to five cars added every month, usually with few repeats that only require changes to the base model.
Last month’s update, which was regarded as the worst update in the timeline, only added three cars from the same manufacturer and did not alter any gameplay. After receiving such low-grade content, now Gran Turismo 7 is back with pretty much community-requested cars on the roster. One of the biggest cars that is requested to be added, the Lexus LFA, is going to be included in the bunch. The full list of expected cars are: Lexus LFA ‘10, Dodge Charger SRT Demon ‘18, NISMO 400R ‘96, Mercedes-Benze 190 E 2.5 – 16 Evolution II ‘91, Dodge Charger R/T 426 Street Hemi ‘68, Porsche 992 GT3 RS ‘22 and Tesla Model 3 Performance ‘22.
The update for the Gran Turismo 7 is arriving next week, and according to Kazunori Yamauchi, it is going to be bigger than the previous updates. Maybe we can expect to see a new track in the game as well. We will have to wait and see the new stuff that is going to be added in the next week.
