Looter-slasher Godfall is currently only available on PC and PS5, but a PEGI rating suggests that it may soon be available on PS4.
The PlayStation 5 console selected Godfall, possibly because it will be dispatched on PlayStation 4 soon, as the European PEGI rating board has recorded another posting for the game (cheers, Twisted Voxel).
Developer Counterplay Games initially revealed Godfall at The Game Awards 2019, where it was shown as a PS5 console presentation. According to a note on the title’s dispatch trailer, it had a six-month eliteness bargain for PS5 and PC through Epic Games Store, which terminates on May 12—which is likely why we’re seeing PEGI plan for a PS4 discharge now.
As you would reasonably expect, there’s been no adjustment of the game’s rating between the PS5 and PS4, with PEGI affirming the last will likewise be fixed as inadmissible for players under 16 years old, and portraying it as an “action role-playing game in which the player takes on the role of the last of the Valorian knights who must travel through various realms to prevent an apocalyptic event” (much appreciated, TwistedVoxel).
It says the game’s “depictions of realistic violence towards human-like characters” are the reason a 16+ rating has been applied. Neither Counterplay Games nor Sony has formally reported the game for some other stages yet, so it remains unclear whether the game will show up on Xbox Series X/S later on.
The game didn’t survey too well when it dispatched in November 2020, with most scores coming in genuinely low.
