It took a while, yet this week, Sony finally disclosed what PlayStation 5 cases would look like. Sony revealed Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales’s box art. Now, only one day later, Gearbox followed the unveiling with Counter Games upcoming “looter slasher,” Godfall.
Over the last month, there were many sneak peeks about the game. After giving a glimpse to the Valorplate armor sets, Gearbox & Counterplay were followed by full gameplay trailers highlighting the melee-centered combat fight and vibrant scenario by Godfall.
This fantasy scenario is seen in its full box art, which Counterplay dropped off this afternoon on the official Godfall Twitter account as a way of wishing fans a great weekend. Many people will probably find the art familiar because it shows three Valorian Knights as they stand before a colossal floating tower that apparently vanishes into the heavens in its rear at the end of the two gameplay trailers from the last month.
However, it probably suits better in the contrary to Godfall’s brighter colors and the art even better underlines the thin blue line along the banner ‘s base which gives it a helpful splash of color. The rest of the blossoming fanfare of Godfall seems to be accepted as the answers in Counter-Play’s Twitter posts complimenting the box art almost universally, many of which suggest they are also cynical of the game.
The PC and PS5 season will be introduced by Godfall.
