Fans have patiently awaited the time when God of War: Ragnarok finally gets its release date. Well, that time is now.
God of War: Ragnarok is one of the most highly anticipated games coming to the PlayStation 5. Its predecessor is now regarded as one of the best games ever made, with fans all around the world preaching about the game’s brilliance for the past few years.
The sequel has been in the works over at Santa Monica Studios for years, and fans have been salivating for more details on gameplay, release date and more. We were treated to a trailer for God of War: Ragnarok at the PlayStation Showcase last year, but now we have something more.
Firstly, PlayStation dropped a cinematic trailer for the game showing a wide variety of cool-looking shots and teasers for what we can expect in the game:
The trailer has a wide variety of cool moments, specifically the sight of a giant wolf, which any Norse Mythology fanatics will be aware of the implications for what/who that wolf may be. (Fenrir)
We also were able to gain a release date after all this time. PlayStation announced it on twitter with this:
That’s right God of War: Ragnarok is coming this year. Now, while this release date may change in the coming months, after all, game development is a turbulent process, and things can change at any point. We also have news that the game will have various versions available for pre-order on July 15th. Each of these editions can be seen here on the official PlayStation blog. God of War: Ragnarok will be released on PlayStation 4/5 on 9th November 2022. I, alongside many, could not be more excited for what could be a game-of-the-year contender.
