Following a successful beta, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, the highly anticipated sequel, will be released on December 3.
Sunborn Games’ upcoming tactical turn-based role-playing game Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium had a successful Closed Beta. It’s a direct sequel to Girls’ Frontline featuring a new chapter of the game’s narrative and will be released as a standalone game.
The Girls’ Frontline franchise became famous in 2018 due to its lovely anime-like visuals, immersive world-building, and sci-fi-infused premise of transforming legendary weapons into androids with humanlike characteristics. Following the game’s success, the series went on to become an anime and a manga later on.
In Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, players will resume their position as the Commander, but this time, they’ll embark on a solo bounty-hunting journey after the Griffin PMC from the original game disbands. Set a decade after Girls’ Frontline, and you’ll guide their Tactical Dolls (T-Dolls) across contaminated zones, fighting enemies and overcoming visible and invisible barriers as they attempt to uncover the truth behind an expanding conspiracy.
Depending on your playstyle, you can build an army of T-Dolls and level them up with a vast number of options across different classes. T-Dolls are like miniature versions of real-life weaponry but with an anime twist. They reimagine some of the most iconic guns in a whole new way. These super-intelligent androids have specific jobs in battle, such as tanking for health and dealing mobile burst damage or healing teammates. You can build up your army with the many T-Dolls available, which are categorized as Sentinels, Vanguards, Bulwarks, and Supports.
The 3D weapon system in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium is fully configurable. You can see every T-Doll and weapon in 3D detail when you interact with them. All of the melee and firearm weapons that a T-Doll can wear have been painstakingly rebuilt in full 3D so that you can see them from any angle. Along with the 3D interactive Refitting Room and Dormitory, this system is driven by NPR technology, giving players access to next-gen anime rendering.
Even if you didn’t obtain an invite to the limited beta, you still have plenty of time to get in on the action. When you pre-register on both mobile and PC, you’ll be able to access milestone prizes like the Tactical Doll Cheeta, Access Permission × 20, and more when the official release begins on December 3. Already, more than three million people have signed up in advance.
Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, the highly anticipated sequel to Girls’ Frontline, will launch worldwide on PC via Steam and Epic Store and mobile devices on December 3, 2024. It will be a standalone game. So, even if you haven’t played the original game, you can still play it from a new narrative perspective.
