On August 20, the third and final DLC pack for the survival management game will come to PC.
Frostpunk’s third and final DLC, On The Edge, is coming to PC on August 20. The new expansion takes place after the events of the base game. Exposed by the great storm, it revolves around an old military base.
The Last Autumn, Frostpunk’s most recent DLC, took place prior to the base game and prior to the great storm. Frostpunk: On The Edge features new methods of dividing or uniting your people, a brand new map with new structures, a new survival story, and new mechanics for building economic and diplomatic relationships. The mega-storm you survived exposed another outpost you will be able to take over and control, and where you will be able to build brand new structures as well as impose – sorry, implement – brand new laws.
A scouting party is sent from New London to build up a flexible chain from the old base. With no food assets close to the base you should depend on shipments from New London which has its requests. There are more difficulties to defeat for endurance as the climate is less extreme at the base. No release date was given for console versions of On The Edge.
On The Edge can be purchased individually for $13 or will be available as part of the game’s season pass. Frostpunk is available on PS4, PC, and Xbox One is available on Xbox Game Pass for PC and Console.
