A free version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered will let players play co-op with premium players. It was confirmed by Square Enix.
In August, the remastered version of the GameCube game is planned to launch. So we can say that the return of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is nearing. The multiplayer game allows four different players to adventure and group together. And in the new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered, a free-to-play version will be available which will offer an astonishing amount of access to the whole game’s content.
Square Enix announced the addition of the free-to-play version of the game in a recent trailer detailing the game’s exciting new features. Given that there is a premium full version of the new game, the free-to-play version comprehensibly comes with some bigger limitations. It’s an amazingly robust alternative to the full game and it might have some people save some money overall. The game makes the first three dungeons of the game entirely accessible and free. Those who download the free version will be able to play with others and group up using the free version as well.
This free version lets players play between all supported platforms. The first three dungeons are available to all free players but there’s also a way for free players to access 10 more. It requires players to connect to the game to someone who has bought the full version of the game. It’s still unsure whether the new Remastered version will feature any sort of matchmaking system. How players will across platforms and connect with others isn’t been announced yet. Maybe it will be limited to players who are already acquainted.
The new version’s online functionality in the weeks ahead. Square Enix still has a lot of time to detail the inner workings of the updated game. Players can try out the free version and decide themselves whether the game’s worth investing in.
On 27th August, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered will be released on Android devices, iOS, PS4, and Switch.
