EA Sports has declared that in its various game titles, especially in the EA NHL, the collation of ice hockey simulation games tournaments will take an increasingly dynamic position against racism. EA was one of the game organizations that turned out this week to be on the side of the Black People community, but some saw the announcement of the organization as complex. This is a direct result of the widespread prejudice present in their sporting events, particularly the arrangement of the NHL.
The r / EA NHL Subreddit was loaded with users with examples of closet racist usernames that appear to have just been developed in numbers over the past few weeks. Particularly relevant are the hypocrite usernames which directly reference George Floyd’s demise. “NHL 20 may be one of the most racial community networks I’ve ever been a piece of,” one Reddit client assumed in a thread distributed almost a month earlier. The users revealed going head-to-head against users who made groups with obtrusively discriminatory group names and grumbled at the absence of a substantial detection system from EA.
“We are constantly moving towards maintaining a culture of incorporation. Harmful behavior changes and develops rapidly and we perceive that we need to do more to effectively screen and expel those people who propagate racist, xenophobic, homophobic, or chauvinistic practices in our games”. This statement was published by the official EA Sports Twitter account.
