These Marvel games will be original titles developed by EA’s many in-house studios.
EA and Marvel have teamed up and are working on “at least three” new titles. Each of these titles will be available on both consoles and PC and be their own original stories set in the Marvel universe. The first title has already announced, it is the Iron Man game being developed by Motive Studios.
This information was all revealed in an official blog post from EA which actually revealed more details regarding the Iron Man game as it was stated that the “Iron Man game will feature an original narrative that taps into the rich history of the character. ” They further stated that the game will allow players to channel the “complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enabling players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man”.
We don’t have any details regarding the other two Marvel based projects in the works at EA, but they are clearly venturing more and more into the video game sphere. Marvel’s Midnight Suns from the developers of Xcom and the Captain America and Black Panther game set during World War II from Skydance Media are two more projects that are being worked on, outside of the deal with EA, so players can expect more and more games in this universe, in the future.
