Dying Light 2 was promised to have content support for years, and we see that content start now.
Developer Techland were expressing about content support for five years all throughout Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s development process. In a spectacular turn of events, we are already seeing the reveal of this content.
Sunday February 13th, Techland revealed the Authority Pack. The first bit of free dlc added to the game is in the theme of the in-game faction the Peacekeepers. The Peacekeepers themselves walk around in police blue and tend to wield rather large weapons and represent order and protection with a slightly darker undertone. This announcement trailer has that style in spades:
The dlc is split into three parts, with a: Chest piece, joggers and sneakers. All in that same police/peacekeeper blue. The second part being: Headgear, braces and gloves. The final part of the free dlc is the weapon. The weapon is the most interesting part of this announcement and everyone is curious as to whether the weapon has any particular in-game benefits.
This dlc also hints at the future for Dying Light 2. There are three factions in Dying Light 2, if we exclude the Peacekeepers that leaves us with the: Renegades and The Survivors. No doubt the other two factions will get their own pack that will fit their style and the ideals of the characters that would join them. There is no news as to when this new dlc will release, and the only information provided by Techland is that “The First one’s arriving soon so stay tuned.”
