Dying Light 2 Will Not Consume Your Life… Unless You Want It To
Techland earlier this month claimed that Dying Light 2: Stay Human will require 500 hours to complete. This caused fans to uproar, as they were intimidated by the size of the game. Many argue that those in full-time employment may ‘never’ finish the game.
It most likely blew out of proportion due to the comparison that was made:
It seems strange to compare a game to a 534-hour walk, but they did it. This was probably one of those things that they thought sounded amazing, only to realize that comparing your game to what would be a tremendous slog isn’t such a great idea.
Techland has answered their fans, hoping to quell the terror of having to trudge through 500 hours. The Dying Light 2 official Twitter shared this:
This is without a doubt a colossal relief to fans who believed that they may not even have the time to play a game that they were so excited for. All in all, it was most likely a minor overreaction; publishers will always release the ‘total amount of hours’ to prove to fans that the game is worth a purchase.
Dying Light 2 is soon upon us. Late last year, they began to release Urban Legends, stories of survivors of their world. Plus, with more gameplay reveals, we have seen that the game looks more like an RPG than most fans expected.
Not only this but Rosario Dawson (Of Recent Ahsoka Tano fame) stars in the game as Lawan, another survivor who will help you on your journey.
In the end, Dying Light 2 looks like it will be an incredible game, with an exciting shift that I, for one, am fascinated to see how it turns out.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be released on 4 February 2022 via the cloud on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. You can pre-order your copy on the Dying Light 2 Official Website.
