Dune: Spice Wars has garnered a lot of new content following this update that goes beyond multiplayer.
Developer Shiro Games have released a brand new update for Dune: Spice Wars that has added 2 new multiplayer modes that players can battle in. In it’s current state, the 2 modes are a basic 2 v 2 teams based mode and a 4 player free for all, for those who wish to experience a more chaotic style of gameplay.
The multiplayer modes also allow for the ‘open slots’ to be filled by AI controlled characters meaning that the lobbies do not necessarily have to be full for players to experience the multiplayer modes.
In a blog post on the official site, the developers stated that in addition to the multiplayer modes players will also have:
- New regions
- New resolutions
- New events
- New Underworld Headquarter buildings
- New buildings illustrations
- Confirmation before attacking a Sietch
This a great deal of content to be added in a free update and players should be excited for the future of Dune: Spice Wars as it is not over yet. This is still not the end of what this update brings to Dune: Spice Wars. In addition to the wreathe of new content, the game also receives major reworks:
- Balance & Tweaks of almost everything
- Rework of Harkonnen units
- Rework of the Wreckers
- Rework of the militia aggro system
- Improved AIs
- Faction limit for Fremen Sietches’ buildings
- Charters can now have flexible eligibility during deciding and voting phases
- Eliminated factions during decide and voting phase now properly get removed
- Removed spice freighters
