DreamWorks’ Kung Fu Panda 4, Po and the Furious Five is returning for one final adventure on March 8.

Kung Fu Panda is a well-known movie franchise that’s been around since 2008, having adapted into a film series and later on bringing us Kung Fu Panda 2 in 2011. However, the most recent release was Kung Fu Panda 3 in 2016. Po, the iconic panda and lead character in the franchise was voiced by none other than acting legend, Jack Black, who is known for his role in movies like School of Rock, The Super Mario Bros Movie, Goosebumps, and Mars Attacks alongside having done video game vocals as well.

With many other movie titles under his belt, Jack Black makes a comeback to voice Po once again as he is given a new and final quest in Kung Fu Panda 4. In a recent international poster release for what could be his final stint as the Dragon Warrior, the titular hero holding a piping hot bowl of noodles prepared by his dad Mr. Ping, hinting he is filling up for his most challenging fight yet.

Receiving a quest most unexpected for Po in the latest installment to the film’s franchise. Po must calm himself and take on the mantle of “spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace”. A title once held by the late Grandmaster Oogway, a wise, old, and formidable turtle, who mastered the arts of Kung Fu, who was voiced by Randall Duk Kim.

The new poster assures more visits to the noodle shop owned by Po’s adoptive father, Mr ping. This is along with him being around to support the new changes and responsibilities of the new quest and the challenges he faces with the new villain, The Chameleon.

Despite her small stature, this villain might be Po’s ultimate match with her defying expectations thanks to the incredible ability to conjure the hero’s past adversaries. Po will drastically need aid from allies old and new to defeat the villain and accept his new role as a protector and a mentor. Fans have much to look forward to in the up-and-coming movie with a twist and a new powerful villain, but fans will have to wait with bated breath for the movie’s release on 8 March 2024. In the end Kung Fu Panda is a big franchise, spanning from games, and movies to series with DreamWorks leading the way who knows what action awaits?
