Portable Diablo IV sounds very comfy for a lot of people, hope it does not have a negative review bomb like the latest Blizzard game.
After hanging in the main Blizzard hub, Battle.net, Diablo IV is finally coming to Steam with everything set to be in order. We do not reckon it will have some technical issues during its release, but it’s best to keep expectations to a minimum. Just like the last time Blizzard tried to add one of their beloved titles to the Steam platform, it got bombed with all negative reviews, making Blizzard regretful for trying to reach out to other players in different user bases.
Blizzard is pretty much prone to bringing Diablo IV to Steam, the decision was made a very long time ago and it is expected to be released on the 17th of October. The date also shares the same day as the new season, Season of Blood’s release date, so we could expect a ton of people to be jumping on the quests. One of the other good news is that Blizzard is releasing Diablo IV on Steam with a Steam Deck compatibility verification, meaning it will run on Steam Deck.
Despite being a handheld computer, some games and applications have a hard time running on Steam Deck, and for that, certain titles get the seal of working in Steam Deck. However, if the games and applications run well and are optimized for Steam Deck, they get a verified seal instead. This means we can expect to see Diablo IV running flawlessly on Steam Deck, which will turn a handheld Diablo IV into a reality, not to mention the comfort aspect of it as well.
Diablo IV’s global community director Adam Fletcher confirmed the Steam Deck Verifiied status is coming on the QA session, saying it will be one of the best arrivals of their titles to Steam. Along with new ways to play, Season of Blood expansion will also bring new stuff onto the table like items, maps, and quests, so old and new players can dive further into the story through both Battle.net and Steam.
