The Blessed Land is under threat of demons. Unleash your power in Zengeon to save this land from doom.

An group known as the Celestial Academy has tasked themselves with protecting the lands. In Zengeon, from IndieLeague Studio, you are one of the Academy’s star pupils. As the Lunar Eclipse swept the land, the seal protecting the Blessed Land from evil has grown weak. The Demon God has broken through and seek to spread the Dark Emptiness like a blight across the land. From IndieLeague Studio, take a journey across the Blessed Land and search far and wide for the power that will stem this tide.

There are 6 unique characters to choose from. Each of them comes with their own powers and skills, changing up how one advances through the game. And with each map procedurally generated, a keen memory won’t serve anyone well here. If one fails in their mission, they are cursed with perma death. No checkpoints exist in this threatened land. If you meet death, another from the Academy will take your place. And unless your items are specific to the story itself, those earned items will not be seen again.

If a run feels particularly difficult, enlist the help of three others for a four-person co-op. Combining the powers of four different characters should make fighting the Dark Emptiness a breeze. There is no hope without students from the Celestial Academy. Gather your party in Zengeon now to return the world back to a time of peace.

Zengeon first released back in 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. Today, it becomes available for the PlayStation 4 on digital stores, with a physical copy set to hit store shelves on August 26th. A release to the Xbox One console will be announced at a later date.
