Destiny 2 just got several fixes for bugs and crashes with patch 7.0.5.1
The most recent patch for Destiny 2, although a small patch, has fixed two problems that were causing the game to crash when being in certain parts of Neptune or opening the loadout menu. PS5 players happily welcomed the patch as they have been heavily affected by the issues causing crashes in Neomuna on Neptune.
The patch also adds some changes to the Daughters of Oryx mission to adjust the scene’s brightness and lessen flashing. Although the patch has been released, players are frustrated with the number of fixes that the patch provided. Even though there have been small fixes, there are significant bugs that need to be addressed, such as audio problems that came with patch 7.0.5.0.
Destiny 2 has been plagued with technical problems as of late, seeing players struggle with common error codes like WEASEL, CHICKEN, and PLUM codes. Alongside the error codes, there is a bug that makes all characters you have look deleted. Destiny 2 – Hotfix 7.0.5.1 has addressed some of the issues, such as Raid having fixed the raid jacket director dialog and adjusting the flashing and brightness in the Daughters of Oryx encounter.
Along with those changes, the UI/UX has seen issues fixed, such as the gauntlets not equipping when swapping loadouts and when opening the loadout menu, in turn, causes the game to crash. Among the fixes, issues with game and investment weapons were also taken care of when selecting a weapon to reshape, whereas before, the item would not automatically update in the reshape slot.
Finally, Hotfix 7.0.5.1 also fixed issues with the particle effects in some parts of Neptune, which would cause the game to crash. All in all, fans of the game are still left waiting, frustrated and patiently for further fixes to Destiny 2 as the game is quite popular. It’s truly sad when great games start falling under when bugs start piling up due to a lack of maintenance.
