Many fans of Destiny 2 think the developers should change some requirements for higher Guardian Ranks.
Destiny 2 is a wildly popular game that has received a request from its players for the developers to remove commendations from Guardian Rank Requirements. Acting as a progression system, Guardian Ranks require players to complete some objectives to climb up the ranks. This in-game system was introduced with Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion and provides players with more loadout slots which can be used to save various builds.
Sadly, there are no armors or weapon rewards for ascending Guardian Ranks. However, this would not be the first time Destiny 2 players have provided quite valuable feedback on certain aspects of the game. Recently, some players have claimed that the Togetherness modifier should be removed completely from the game because it is overall unnecessarily ramping up the difficulty altogether, stating it makes activities that are designed to be completed by player solo, much harder than it needs to be.
Some players have also called upon the developers to add to the craftable Void Pulse rifles to fix the game’s weapon gap. However, one Destiny 2 player known on Reddit as “TheGuyFromTheMovie,” also asked the developers to remove commendations as a requirement for unlocking the 10th and 11th Guardian Ranks.
As per the poster’s statement, they don’t want to be left to the discretion of other players as some tend to usually forget to give accommodations at the end of the activity or some players are too lazy to reward their teammates while others tend to leave the group without playing fair and handing out commendation to start their next run as soon as possible.
Agreeing with the poster, fellow players side with this request as it would be wiser to remove this feature from the Guardian Rank requirements, with one claiming that this social feature is a waste of time and resources. Some players have also indicated that the developers could reduce the number required for these two ranks, which would make it easier for players to reach these ranks without completely relying on others to enjoy further progression.
Either way, with the demands of the game’s fans being given back to the developers, it’s just a waiting game to see how they will respond to the demands of their player base, hopefully making a good decision in the long run.
