Players have discovered a recent bug in Destiny 2 that brings back an old activity modifier.
Online games go through plenty of changes in their lifetime, from adding new mechanics to adding new ones, there are tons of changes that are made to our favorite games to make them better. However, a recently discovered bug in Destiny 2 seems to bring back the Togetherness modifier, an activity modifier that was removed from the game weeks prior. This modifier has been loathed by many players as it forces players to stay close to one another in order for their health and shields to regenerate. Togetherness was removed due to it adding more unnecessary challenges to some of the game’s harder content.
The Togetherness modifier is so unpopular with players that the entirety of the modifier has been requested to be removed countless times, with many players demanding it be removed from all PvE activities. Togetherness was so unpopular with players that Bungie removed the modifier from The Coil, which is a popular seasonal activity. The reason for its removal was mainly due to how long the activity takes to complete, roughly 45 minutes, with the removal of Togetherness, many Destiny 2 players viewed this as a big win. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and players have begun seeing the modifier pop up again when queuing for The Coil.
This new bug was reported by none other than the official BungieHelp Twitter account. In the shared post the studio acknowledged that the Togetherness modifier had accidentally made a comeback following the game’s most recent release. The return of Togetherness came after Destiny 2’s Update 7.3.0.6, which seemed to have accidentally reversed most of the changes made in the previous patch, which removed the modifier from The Coil. While it was good that Bungie acknowledged that they were aware of the bug, we don’t have an exact timeline as to when we can expect it to be fixed.
Despite Togetherness rearing its head once more players see making light of the situation with many making jokes about the modifiers return with many comparing it to the infamous Telesto. Telesto was a weapon that added several bugs to Destiny 2 over the years and has become a bit of a running joke within the game’s community. The Togetherness modifier glitch isn’t the only issue player’s have been encountering in the game as many players have pointed out several visual glitches with The Dreaming City. Hopefully these and Togetherness will be resolved soon.
