PC and console gamers can look forward to the release of Bloodhound this fall.
Indie studio Kruger & Flint Productions has unveiled the first project, a new shooter called Bloodhound. Experienced game developers make up most of the crew, who have all previously worked for famous Polish studios (Techland, The Astronauts, and CI Games). Dying Light 2, Witchfire, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 were all developed by the same team that created the new indie shooter. PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S consoles, and PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 are expected to get the game in 2022 and 2023, respectively. The demo version of the PC version of the game is available. Check out the Bloodhound official trailer released by the developers.
Bloodhound is an homage to classic first-person shooters with its dynamic and uncompromising arcade action. Astaroth’s demon cult is stopped in the primary campaign mode, in which the player plays the character of a Templar Order member.
“It is a game created out of passion – the kind we would like to play. It’s brutal, it’s intense, and there’s blood. It’s all served in a heavy, horror reminiscent atmosphere. Our main inspirations were Doom, Quake, and Painkiller, but we also reached the work of Zdzisław Beksiński, rich in decay centric pieces and apocalyptic motives,” – said Rafał “Flint” Krzemiński, CEO, Kruger & Flint Productions.
Finally, Bloodhound has a campaign that spans four acts; it has fifteen different types of enemies including four bosses and a variety of horrific places. Ten different kinds of weaponry are available to help the player (including a machete, flamethrower attached chainsaw, shotgun, railgun, crossbow, and missile launcher). Additional game types are currently being developed by the game’s designers (arena and multiplayer).
“A free demo has been made available on Steam. It includes one training area, and it’s the first taste of what’s yet to come from Bloodhound,” – said Jakub “Kruger” Kubiak, producer, Kruger & Flint Productions.
Bloodhound is scheduled to be released on Early Access for PC via Steam in mid-2022. This year’s August is the target date for the formal launch. Meanwhile, a Bloodhound Kickstarter campaign has been launched to help finance the game’s creation. The game is expected to be released for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in 2022 and PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2023.
